Jenyu is an inspiration to all of us at the Dalin Good Neighbor Church. She has been going through chemo over the past three years, and never took off from church or mid-week meetings unless she was in the hospital! Recently she finished the last regimen and told the doctor she needed a break. The cancer has spread, and the doctor has told her to prepare her heart. So she began asking God what He wanted her to do with the time she had left! At the same time God had moved in my heart to ask her to accompany me when I do visitation ministry and get out to meet new neighbors.在大林好厝邊教會，Jenyu對所有人都是很大的激勵。過去三年她都在接受化療，除了住院以外，主日崇拜或週間的聚會，她都不曾缺席。最近她做完最後一個療程，告訴醫師，她需要停一陣子。癌細胞已擴散，醫師告訴她要有心理預備。因此，她開始求問上帝，剩餘的日子上帝要她怎麼過? 差不多同時，上帝感動我邀請她陪我去探訪信徒、認識新鄰居。
We had two weeks of regular visitation ministry together to several homes, when Jenyu would help tell a Bible story, or encourage people to come to church; we began praying over a couple of neighborhoods where we wanted to begin meeting the neighbors. Then things started to unravel. Jenyu had to go to the hospital several times in a week; she had to have fluid removed to keep her more comfortable. Early on, God had comforted Jenyu with the words, “To live is Christ, and to die is gain!” Whether by life or by death, Jenyu determined to live for the Lord! Her enthusiasm for life has not waned. Nothing would keep her from attending the 20th year celebration of Double Blessing Church, Jenyu’s former church and the Dalin Good Neighbor’s sister church. When it was time to go, I headed into the elevator.有兩週時間我們一起探訪了許多家庭，Jenyu協助我講聖經故事、鼓勵人來教會、一起為鄰居的一對夫妻禱告。後來情況開始改變，Jenyu 一週內需要去好幾趟醫院，她需要抽腹水才不會太不舒服。更早之前，上帝已經用祂自己的話語安慰了她，”活著就是基督，死了就有益處。”無論是生是死，Jenyu 決定為主而活。她對生命的熱誠沒有減少.。病痛阻止不了她來參加雙福教會20週年感恩禮拜。(註:雙福教會是Jenyu之前去的教會)。時間到的時候，我走進電梯。
Jenyu took one look at me and declared, “I’m taking the stairs!” It was four flights, but Jenyu tackled them with joy. And that was the attitude which brought her to join me for visitation ministry three days a week, even though her body was not well. Jenyu看了我一眼，說，”我要爬樓梯!”四層樓，Jenyu卻不以為苦。她加入我探訪的事工，就是這樣的態度，一週三次，即使身體不舒服。
“Father, may we count it all joy to be spent for You, like Jenyu.
“天父，願我們為你的緣故所花的時間都看為喜樂，像Jenyu一樣。
