Recently we had the privilege of visiting the aunts of our coworker, Rita Chen—our Taiwan Harvest 119 Administrative Assistant; they live in Nantou County in Central Taiwan. Mark had preached the funeral service for their younger brother.
最近我們很榮幸去拜訪我們119助理同工住在台灣中部(南投縣)的兩位阿姨。幾年前，何牧師曾為她們的弟弟主持告別式。
These women were so welcoming! We chatted and helped finish the batch of bread rolls stuffed with dried fruit, and waited while they cooked in the steamer outside. One aunt amazed us by her spirit and energy, for she only gets three hours of sleep daily, arising at 2:00 every morning to do the baking for market in the morning!
我們受到極大的歡迎。邊聊天邊動手學她們製作莓果饅頭，後來還等她們上蒸籠。小阿姨有驚人的精神和體力，她一天只睡三小時，因為清晨兩點就得起來和麵粉、做純手工饅頭，之後到市場兜售。
We made a new friend that day, a beautiful young woman in her 50’s who is interested in helping us with our outreach to the elderly in Hsichou, Changhua County. She cracked us up with her jokes, and we all agreed she could truly lighten the lives of the old people with her humor! Even though she is not yet a Christian, she certainly is a candidate for becoming one! All these precious women are! We went empty-handed, but came away laden with bread, homemade soap, and lots of greens from the garden!
當天也認識她們的一位朋友，50多歲漂亮的單身女性。對於我們在彰化縣溪州鄉的長者事工她很感興趣，講了一些讓我們捧腹大笑的笑話，我們都一致認為她的幽默感必定可以為長者們帶來活力。雖然她還不是基督徒，但未來她一定會得救，這幾位寶貴的女性都會。我們兩手空空的去，卻帶著饅頭、手工皂、和菜園裡很多種類的有機蔬菜離開。

God looks with love and pity on people who do not know Him! In Jonah 4:10-11 God says to Jonah, “You have had pity on the gourd, for which you have not labored, nor made it grow, which came up in a night, and perished in a night. And should I not spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand?”
