We had a good time in Tianwei, doing eggs with a parent, three kids, and Zhan Mama and Zhan Papa.我們在田尾慶祝復活節，有鄰居詹爸、詹媽和另一個家庭的媽媽和三個孩子一起彩繪、包裝復活蛋。
Below is pictured Mark with Zhan Pa and Ma, and Winnie.
We made some new friends in the neighborhood when we passed out Easter eggs to about 70 families. We, also, experienced some spiritual warfare/opposition. One neighbor, a lovely woman named Miss Hsieh, brought over some vegetables as a gift after we distributed eggs and the Gospel tract at her door; but she wouldn’t stay for lunch since her mother-in-law almost wouldn’t let her out the door, saying that she was not to believe in any other religion, and that she was to worship their ancestors. Wow! But Miss Hsieh said, “That’s what they say, but I have my own thoughts.” I believe she’s a person of peace–one who will help us befriend others in the neighborhood as we seek to share the love of Christ and His Gospel. We met about 4 Persons of Peace that day, which was rather exciting! Praise God from whom all blessings flow. But then when Zhan Papa introduced us to his brothers, one of them said, “So you’re going to believe this Amen religion, too!” Zhan Papa denied it, saying, “No, we’re just friends.” Oh well, one step at a time. May God finish the good work He has begun.
Here is Chio Ran with her nephew, Shuan Han, and two daughters–Winnie and Minnie.
Finally, we would appreciate prayer for God’s blessing on two teams being discipled in Tianwei and at the Dalin Good Neighbor. Praise God for some multiplication as a couple of our members in Tianwei are sharing their lessons with their own groups. We will just be getting started with regular visitation using Bible stories of Creation to Christ with our folks at the Good Neighbor this next week; pray for our Brothers and Sisters as they step out with God’s love to reach the lost in Dalin. “Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.” (Ps. 126:5-6)
Thank you for your love and prayers for us and the people of Taiwan. God richly bless and use you!
In His love,
Mark and Ruth
