Jesus told His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” (Luke 10:2) The Lord is doing a great work in Taiwan. People’s hearts are more open. City churches are growing, and planting new churches. But according to Operation World and the Joshua Project, 94% of the 23.2 million people are still unsaved. Among the least reached, the majority of Min Nan Chinese factory workers, farmers and fishermen remain cut off from the hope of the Gospel by the fears and traditions of folk religion–a combination of Buddhism, Taoism, and Ancestor Worship.
耶穌告訴門徒，”要收的莊稼多，做工的人少。所以，你們當求莊稼的主，打發工人出去收他的莊稼。”(路10:2)上帝正在台灣行奇妙的事，人的心較以前更打開了，都市的教會人數和數量都在不斷增加。但根據Operation World and the Joshua Project 的統計，台灣兩千三百萬人口中，還有94%是福音未得之民。而其中，多數的閩南人勞工、農民和漁民仍然因為長期活在傳統民間信仰的恐懼、迷信裡，而與福音相距甚遠。
Another unreached people group are the Hakka Chinese, who have a deep sense of commitment to their clan, and to their ancestors; only four out of one thousand Hakka have come to Christ! The people of Taiwan need Christ! It is urgent that they hear, and be delivered from darkness, and gloriously transferred into the Lord’s Kingdom of Light. Taiwan Harvest 119’s strategy is to, by God’s grace, establish Lighthouses in every neighborhood–open homes where neighbors can come and hear Bible stories, sing songs and learn to worship Him who is worthy of all our praises, as well as learn how to pray. 此外，客家也是另一個福音未得的族群，根深蒂固的宗族和祖先崇拜觀念，使得客家人只有0.4%信耶穌。毫無疑問的，台灣百姓需要福音! 他們需要聽見福音並從黑暗裡被拯救出來，進入上帝的光明國度。台灣豐收119的策略是，在各鄉鎮社區設立真理的燈塔-打開家，讓鄰居可以進來聽聖經故事、唱詩歌、學習禱告、敬拜那配得所有讚美的神。來吧!來分享上帝真理的光吧!
