Connecting west-coast churches with Resources and Personnel

Church is a Happy Place!
In rural Taiwan, it is not uncommon to meet someone who is more sensitive to the spirit world. One of our friends in Changhua County is such a person. Let’s call her, “Jen.” From her youth, Jen would “hear” a spirit tell her that someone would be dying soon; she would then take it upon herself to bargain with the spirit for another half-year or year for that person, saying, “She is a good person. Couldn’t she have more time?” Then she felt beholden to do good works to thank the spirit for the extra time.
Recently Jen–whose children love to participate in Sunday school in one of our project churches–was baffled by her little three-year-old son. For when they got home from church, her son kept saying, “Mom, Jesus is looking for you! Jesus is looking for you!” How strange, for they did not even make it on time for her children to hear the Bible story that day! Where did her son get this sentence?” We do not know, but Jen is thinking more about the claims of Christ on her life. Hallelujah! For Jesus is at work through Taiwan Harvest 119 and its west-coast co-workers seeking the lost that they might be saved. Will you pray for Jen’s salvation?

(何路得 撰 /賴怡伶 翻譯) A-leng drags her foot when she walks. I understand that a car struck her as she crossed the road in Meishan a few years back. It happened right after her husband died; they had lived together as man and wife for eight years. 阿蓮走路時總是拖著一跛一跛的腳。我知道幾年前,她在梅山過馬路時被車撞了。那事發生在她丈夫過世後不久;他們像夫妻一樣,已經同居八年了。 She lost the right to live in…
June 11, 2021 The JOY was so genuine, and lit up every crevice around her eyes. Shiao Hua (pictured on the left listens at the Dalin Good Neighbor Church) used to frequent the temples and go to fortune tellers.
