Taiwan Still Needs Missionaries 台灣仍需要宣教士

Every summer the Taiwan Missionary Fellowship–comprised of most of the missionaries in Taiwan, about 300 in all–gathers for a week of family fun and inspiration at the TMF Conference.  Motivational speakers, workshops, children’s and youth VBS–just the opportunity for busy church workers to fellowship together–all make this week a very meaningful week for all!  每年暑期，台灣宣教士團契(簡稱TMF，目前大約有300位會員，幾乎包括所有在台灣的宣教士)會聚集宣教士家庭，舉行為期一週既好玩又充滿激勵的年會。

Mark and Ruth remember when there were 800 missionaries in Taiwan–way back when they first arrived in 1983.  Through the years many mission boards pulled their missionaries out of Taiwan and sent them to work among the least reached people groups in China.  Many mission boards have also suffered attrition.何馬可和路得回朔1983年，也就是他們第一次到台灣的那一年，TMF有800位宣教士。經過這麼多年，許多宣教機構逐漸將宣教士撤出台灣，轉往中國大陸，也有許多宣教機構面臨宣教士的折損。

We of Taiwan Harvest 119 are convinced the need is still great, and that the majority of Taiwanese blue collar workers and their families, plus 996 out of every 1000 Hakka, are as yet without Christ and the hope that He alone can give! 但台灣豐收119確信，台灣仍然需要大量的宣教士，大部分的勞工階級和他們的家庭以及99.6%的客家人仍然不認識耶穌和唯有祂所能給的盼望。

So this year we believe God wants to add to the number of missionaries in Taiwan–particularly, we are trusting Him for TWO Lighthouse Trilogy Teams, each to reach three neighboring towns along the rural west coast of Taiwan.  They are scheduled to arrive by October for two months of Team Training.  This year’s team members will most likely be bilingual, with either Mandarin or Taiwanese or Hakka language ability.  There may be some who come certified to teach English as a second language; we would encourage them to get at least six months of basic Chinese conversation if they are not coming for more than three years.  今年，我們相信神要將更多宣教士的人數加給台灣，特別是兩組的燈塔團隊(12人)，每組可以進入三個台灣西部沿海的偏鄉。他們預計於10月抵達，接受兩個月的團隊訓練。今年的團隊成員可能會兼用兩種語言，中文加台語或是客語。也可能有組員以教英語為主要的服事項目，如果他們預定停留的時間不超過三年，我們仍會鼓勵他們至少學習半年的中文基礎會話。

Time is of the essence!  Watch this excellent video produced by the Taiwan Missionary Fellowship which clearly demonstrates the great need for missionaries and the Gospel in Taiwan!  Taiwan Harvest 119’s Lighthouse  Teams NEED YOU!  6 church planters will reach 3 towns EVERY YEAR!  So even if you need to learn the language, you could attend two to three years of language study in Taiwan, then plan on joining the Lighthouse  Team of 2019! 時間很緊急!如果我們看TMF製作的圖表以及影片就可以知道台灣真的還需要大量的宣教士。台灣豐收119的燈塔團隊需要你! 每年、每六位同工進入三個鄉鎮。即使你需要語言訓練也不用擔心，你可以先接受2-3年的語言訓練，然後預備加入2019年的燈塔團隊。
